Foreigner witnesses wild boar attack on elderly woman (Video)
When I saw this foreigner who witnessed a wild boar attack speaking to the news media a couple days ago, I was quite pissed off that I was too slow to record it. Luckily, some Japanese viewers also found it to be entertaining, and it has appeared on some Japanese blogs as “omoshiro kokujin” or “funny black man”:
It was definately a rare sight on Japanese TV. I guess the excited way in which he described the attack and his imitation of the boar bashing into the elderly woman was quite amusing to many viewers. One Japanese netizen even took the time to remix the video into a “rap” version that mercilessly mocks the guy’s Japanese [via Zaeega]:
hmmm..I’m not sure what to make of that “rap” video…Anyway, I wonder what he’s doing out in the countryside wearing those work clothes. Is he a farmer?

I think this was the first thing my wife saw on any of the Japan blogs she forwarded around to friends. For her his saying, たってる!was worthy of paroxysms of laughter. Who knew a missing あ could be so funny?

I sometimes watch the NHK news at night and did a double take when I saw him. You almost never see gaijin giving eyewitness accounts on NHK. I can’t remember one previously in my 11 plus years here! He certainly was interesting looking for someone living out in the sticks, supposedly. Why the dark sunglasses, LOL!?

My wife and I were blown away by that interview. thought it was some old farmer at first….
At least NHK didnt make all his jimaku into katakana.
That remix is not rap by the way, more like really bad house
