Domino’s Pizza Japan unveils Croissant Crust Pizzas!

January 2nd, 2007 by James

Domino’s Pizza Japan is ringing in the new year with a new menu item: the croissant crust pizza. Apparently it has 4 sections, each with a distinct set of toppings:

  • a shrimp / sea urchin cream / paprika section
  • a smoked salmon / cream cheese / basil section
  • a ham / mozzarela cheese / tomato section
  • a crab / white sauce / paprika / basil section

This monstrosity will set you back 3500 yen, or about 29 US dollars…

But, is it a 324-layer Croissant? Or is it an Ultimate 648-layer Super Vapour Action Croissant?

I heard the horrors of what the japanese do to pizza but ugh… well maybe not to the ham, mozzarela and tomato. That sounds good. Hopefully the japan version of domina’s is not as horrid as the us one.

the only crime here is the price tag! There is no good reason for Japanese pizza extortion!
