    Japan-related news stories for today:

    -A deadly tornado struck Hokkaido yesterday, killing 9 people. In other parts of Japan, heavy winds damaged buildings and gaijin who bike to work were incredibly annoyed.

    -Coming to a game center year you: the Nova usagi arcade game!

    -There have been 171 reported attacks on North Korean schools and their students in Japan since North Korea test fired its missiles in July. It’s unfortunate, but that’s what happens when a hostile nation is allowed to run training centers in your country. Why hasn’t the Japanese government shut down enemy propaganda schools?

    -Tigers and Cranes shows off some cool toilet paper holders.

    -The Jamestown Foundation warns that Japan is vunerable to attacks from Islamic terrorists. I guess the cops better step up their efforts to check gaijin cards.

    -Bobby Valentine continues to love his life in Japan as the manager of the Chiba Lotte Marines.

    -The BBC has picked up the story of the anonymous student’s suicide warning letter. Meanwhile, the Japanese press is busy reporting on how many times the word “bullying” and “suicide” were used in the letter instead of attacking the education system for alloying rampant bullying. An official from a school in Tokushima, where the letter is believed to originate, said that there was no bullying at his school. He came to this conclusion after students at the school were given a survey asking if they were being bullied, and nobody reported so.
