In this commercial for Hisamitsu‘s “Salonship S” muscle-ache pads, Naoto Takenaka takes on the role of a foreigner . The main joke of the commercial is a pun between the “harou” [貼ろう], the Japanese verb meaning “to stick on,” and the word “haro-” [ハロー], which most Japanese people believe to be the English word “hello.” Of course, the joke wouldn’t be complete without mimmicking the racial features of white foreigners by putting on a Gene Wilder-esque blonde wig, attaching a big fake nose to his face, and speaking in a mock foreign accent:
