Part II of the Nova English School Commercial (Video)
Back on September 30th, I shared a funny Nova commercial with you. Since then, some people have written about the commercial being potentially offensive because it makes Japanese people look stupid. Personally I think it is just trying to be silly, much like the “Japan Sinks” commercials Nova aired earlier this year. (One has to have a pretty active imagination to interpret a Japanese-produced commercial about a single air-headed Japanese girl as an insult to the Japanese people.)
About a week and a half ago Nova released the second part of the commercial, which I have recorded and uploaded to YouTube:
As you can see, her Nova lessons gave her practical skills she could use in her everyday life.

I used to work for NOVA. It’s typical factory eikaiwa that charges insane amounts of money for “native” (read: unqualified) speakers. They do seem to have a good PR department, though

Hmm, so if I’m to interpret the point of this commercial, is it that it took her ages and ages to learn English at Nova?
