Gaijin stalker!!

Back on September 29th I posted about Christopher Drake, an American professor at Atomi University in Tokyo, being arrested for stalking a Japanese girl he saw on the street. The article on Crisscross was sadly lacking in details and I’m sure that many of you guys shared my feeling of dissastisfaction with its shortness. Luckily, today’s WaiWai column has dug through Shukan Bunshun and printed gritty details about Christopher Drake’s deviant ways:
Christopher Drake, a 59-year-old American who worked as a professor at posh Atomi University in Tokyo, was arrested for stalking after he allegedly turned up on the doorstep of a young woman’s home bearing a rope and an eye mask with the intent of professing his love.
[...]
“Drake had spotted a 23-year-old unemployed woman in Kiyose (Saitama Prefecture) in July and followed her around at times since, visiting her home and ringing the bell to her door on at least a dozen occasions. When he was arrested, he had a bag containing the eye mask and rope,” the hack says. “Drake says he fell in love with the woman at first sight and just wanted to talk to her. Nobody knows what he was carrying around the rope and the eye mask for, though. But a subsequent police raid on his home did unearth handcuffs and some other S&M gear.”
Drake has been in Japan since the ’70s and taught at Atomi, a women’s university, from 1978. He was the 131-year-old school’s deputy president from 1992 to 1994.
“I remember him for using a lot of gestures during his lectures. He used to tell us that using your eyes to look and your hands to touch were also forms of communication,” an Atomi alumnus tells Shukan Bunshun. “People thought that was really funny and for a while students used to mess around by mimicking his movements.”
[...]
About the only person who had anything remotely bad to say about Drake was an employee at his local convenience store.
“He used to shop at our store a lot. Most of the time he’d come in after 10 at night. He was always alone and he’d always buy two or three dirty magazines filled with pictures of nude women,” the store owner tells Shukan Bunshun. “It’s rare for a foreigner to buy that many magazines, so I remembered him well.”
Geez Mr. Drake, you think after living in Japan for so many years, you’d know that you could read most of the porn mags in the store for free and tear out the centerfolds when the shopkeepers aren’t looking.

I seriously hate those man. I myself am from the netherlands and plan to go to japan in the near future. (to stay there at least a year) But those kind of men ruin other people. It will look like every white man is a pervert or something. while thats totally not true. I dont know how foreigners act in japan, but I do know that there are some who respect woman too. Those who get drunk and hang on any girl they can find are despicable, and will only make it for others who want to go to japan for good reasons more difficult.
