I CANNOT BELIEVE SOMEONE TAPED A CAT UNTIL IT COULDN’T MOVE, STUFFED IT INTO HIS CAR, AND LET IT STARVE! Hey this is Karianne Flynn and i will give you a piece of my mind when it comes to animal cruelty. Some people think its fun to hurt animals to see there pain and suffering seeing them bleed to death, well i think you people are sick minded and need help. People who do testing on animals for beauty products WHO CARES ABOUT BEAUTY PRODUCTS i wear makeup also but if i had to sacrifice that i would but what diffrence would it do if only i would do that. Did you know that 200 animals die per day because of animal cruelty, they are either hung, drowned and microaved!!! PLease stop this if not you…who? If not now…When? and if you disagree with me maybe you should get some testing on yourself to see what it feels like when the testing goes wrong. It’s just a picture I found randomly posted on a Japanese forum. I doubt it has anything to do with animal cruelty.

As for the Bando thing, I doubt we can take the opinion from somebody in the literary world and apply it to normal people. Just sounds like a weird writer expressing herself in an abnormal way.

I agree that the article’s conclusion seemed to materialize from out of the blue… The intro to the article (which you didn’t excerpt) is also a bit bizarre: this Bando character as an “anguished champion of a cat’s right to give birth and not to be spayed” as she tosses newborn kittens off a cliff. Weird. I couldn’t help but be reminded of some of the more radical anti-abortion elements back in North America…
I think a lot of these “Kuchikomi” stories in CC, as well as the “Waiwai” stuff at Mainichi have to be taken with a liberal dose of salt…
