Japanese Language Proficiency Text
I got an mass email this morning from the JLPT Administration Committee reminding me that this year’s Japanese Language Proficiency Text registration period has begun. The email was from the committee that organizes test sites in America, and was a reminder to register online for the test. Since I am no longer in the USA, I checked the site test taking in Japan, and found that instead of the well-organized and convenient online registration system available for American test takers, gaijin in Japan must go to certain bookstores, purchase a registration form, and mail it to the JEES office. How’s that for a supposedly high tech country?
Anyway, here’s a list of sites where the test will be given in Japan on December 3rd:
For more information, including a search for bookstores that sell the application (the search doesn’t appear to be showing any results for Saitama), check out the information page here. Those outside of Japan can get information here. (US test-takers can go here.)
