Car chase filming legalized in Japan
Looks like we’ll finally be able to watch some car chases:
The Japanese government has reached an agreement with the local entertainment industry to allow car chases to be filmed on public streets.
The Yomiuri Shimbun reported that the Japanese Construction and Transport Ministry and the National Police Agency have agreed that filmmakers may now film on city streets with the permission of area residents and police.
The new limited regulation acts as a legal waiver of the country’s general ban on such practices and will allow the Japanese entertainment industry to produce more realistic movies and TV shows, the newspaper said.
So, does that mean this car chase was filmed illegally?
