[...] Anything that works, folks. Anything that works. I think I’ll teach it to Daniel in Japanese. It sounds…cuter that way. There’s more toilet training in Japanese at Japan Probe. If you want to see the actual toy that’s used in the video, you can see it at his entry: Shimajiro Toilet Training Device. Ah, if only it came in English. [...]

We get Shimajiro shipped in every month. It's a subscription service like the old Sweet Pickles (blast from the past). It is made by Benesse Corp, who do all kinds of kids education stuff.

The DVD with "unchi deru deru" came with this little button you attach to your toilet paper roll so that your kid can press number 1 before he goes and it says

"Oshikko ka na ? Unchi ka na?" (Is it a pee? or a poo?)

Then when they are done they press number 2 and it blasts a regal fanfare and says " Ganbatta ne" (Way to go)

There is no shame when teaching kids how to poop. And that is the way it should be. Adults however, do silly things like hiding poop noises with an Oto Hime etc.

More on the Shameless Shitting Movement <a href="http://www.poopreport.com" rel="nofollow"> here</a>

It's nice to see little Shimajiro is surprised both of his parents showed up out of no where.

When I was a child I never saw a toilet with a face? I self taught myself. If I was a child again and I saw these videos they would make me never to use the toilet again.

Japanese are very smart because of the way they break process down to consumable parts. Too bad they couldn't build a atomic bomb deflector back in WW2. Sunsabitches.

Actually the top cartoon is from a kids show call,"Shiima Project", They have a web site (In Nihongo) where you can purchase it. It's a great show and much better than most of our American kids shows. My kids love it.
