Daylight savings time, in Japan?

Back when I lived in America, I used to think daylight savings time sucked.  I always hated the idea of having to change around the time on clocks.  It seemed so strange to me.  I thought it was a relic of some ancient time and no longer necessary.  But I have to admit, I now think differently.  Maybe it started one summer morning in Japan when I was awakened at 4:30AM by the bright sunlight?

Anyway, it looks like one city in Japan is experimenting with this strange new daylight savings system:

OSHU, Japan, July 3 (UPI) — The city of Oshu in the Iwate Prefecture has become only the second city in Japan to adopt daylight saving time.

Following the lead of the city of Hokkaido, citizens of Oshu set their clocks forward on June 21 in order to gain an extra hour of sunny summer weather, the Daily Yomiuri reported.

“You can have extra time enjoying sports or being with your family,” the head of the Mizusawa chapter of Junior Chamber International, Etsuya Ishikawa, said.

So, when they leave city limits, they have to change their clocks again?
