YouTube: Big in Japan

Surprise, surprise! Mainichi’s WaiWai column is reporting that the internet video-hosting site YouTube is extremely popular in Japan. It really shouldn’t be shocking news to anyone who has an internet connection, but I figured I would mention it here for the sake of spreading bland news.

Anyway, here’s a Japanese video on youtube that might explain why the site is so popular in Japan:

YouTube is popular in EVERY COUNTRY with high speed internet. Just a simple look around youtube will reveal videos in a wide variety of languages. If you ever read this site, you’ll also notice that I am constantly linking to Japanese YouTube videos.
