Japanese TV clip: Chinese marathon mistakes, NHK soccer ball

Can China handle the next olympic games? One Japanese YouTube user doubts they can. Yesterday, he posted this video, which shows a marathon taking place in China.

Hmm..it seems like there is some confusion about the marathon course. The lead car makes a wrong turn…oops!

Woah! That biker almost hit the runner! Dangerous!

After finishing the marathon, the runner is told that he hasn’t actually finished! Somewhere along the course he was led down the wrong path, skipping a certain distance of the course!

I have no idea when this marathon took place, but the Japanese guy who posted the video seems to think it casts doubt on China’s ability to host the next olympics. Are they going to screw things up like they did with that marathon?

He isn’t some ultra-nationalist video poster. He is just a guy who posts various videos of Japanese TV mishaps. For example, this clip of a cameraman tripping. Another Japanese YouTube user posted this wonderful clip of some N-H-K newscaster failing to catch the soccer ball thrown at him. I thought I would throw it in with this post, since it is isn’t important enough to merit its own update.
