Unfriendly beasts, but they're not exactly predatory. What kills me is the busybody calling police to tell them a turtle is laying eggs! Who does that? "Um, hello, police? Yes... Yes... yes, a turtle laying eggs near a pond, I think you need to come down here and put a stop to this. It's unnatural." Heh, used to get those in our back yard now and then.
