Hara-kiri City
I found a pretty interesting video this morning. It appears to be a Japanese short film called “Hara-kiri City”, produced in 1991. The film is about a American businessman who goes to Japan and realizes that all the stereotypes about Japan are true: Japan is a wacky place!
Video 1: The American businessman arrives in Japan to work with his firm’s Japanese partner. Wackiness ensues.
Taking responsibility
Video 2: More wackiness ensues. The employee who failed to arrange for the American’s airport transport must take responsibility (Japanese style)!
Japan is shockingly strange!
Video 3: The American businessman encounters ninjas and survives. Later he is forced to commit hara-kiri!
The videos are mostly in Japanese, but you don’t need to understand what they are saying to get the gist of it.
