    A treasure trove of rip-offs!

I found this clip from January 2005 Japanese news program that discusses unlicensed Korean rip-offs of Japanese food products. It seems to be a pretty big problem.

The reporter starts off by offering some Japanese shrimp-flavored snacks to Koreans. They immediately identify it as “Seukan”(the Korean copy of the Japanese product).

These two Koreans are suprised that the snacks they are tasting has the exact same shape and flavor as a Korean snack!

It seems that the Koreans also steal the design of the packaging! Have they no shame?

This Korean businessman, blurred-out for his own safety, admits that Korean companies call their unlicensed knock-offs “Me too” products.

Our faithful reporter displaying the plethora of goods copied from Japan! Horray Korea!
